Do you consider yourself a clean beauty company?

We can proudly say, “Yes, we do. “ The criteria we use to create clean beauty products are: carefully researched recipes, safe and significantly sourced natural ingredients, purposefully sourced organic materials, sustainably developed processes, and intentionally eliminated toxins.

 

What makes your company different from the rest of the self-care beauty products companies?

Passionary is a wellness company for those who want to cultivate a passion for life. Our multi-layered lifestyle brand promotes the comfort, relaxation, and wellness of the total being. That is, we show a way of being for the mind, body, spirit, and soul not only through the use of our products, but also, through the availability of our experiential suggestions on social media.

 

What are your diversity, equity, and inclusion practices?

Passionary is a company whose audience spans the entire spectrum of diversity-race, ethnicities, gender choices, age, and lifestyle. So, it’s only fitting that our commitment to DEI would as well. The fact that Passionary is a minority-led and woman-owned business grounds us in the conscientious notion that everyone should have a seat at the table.

 

What is Passionary doing to make itself a better company?

While already entrenched in these practices, we’re still working at getting better: increasing a passionate wellness community; suppliers who reflect our values; micro, women, and diverse suppliers; everything sustainable; fairtrade and living wages; zero-waste packaging; fresh formulation; and accessibility; and reducing our carbon foot print; single use plastic closures; and stressors that erode humanity.

 

How did WEC travel come into existence?

In Passionary’s pursuit to find the highest quality ingredients for its products, the founder, Dianne Harrison, began to realize there were stories to be shared about other people’s passions. She decided to document their journeys, interesting communities and causes, and indigenous botanical life in countries around the world.

 

Why does Passionary partner with charities?

ComPassionary is the charitable arm of Passionary that showcases charitable organizations in the community to which it travels. The founder thought it was only fitting to feature the good work these charities do for the communities in which it relies on for resources.

 

Is Passionary plant-based/vegan?

Yes. All of the B.O.M. Series products by Passionary are plant-base/vegan, even difficult-to-find vegan items such as coconut milk. You would think it’s vegan, but some contain milk cultures from cows. Our coconut milk is completely vegan.

 

What is the shelf life of the products?

Generally, the shelf life is one year from the date of opening the products, sometimes, six months. However, even though we use antioxidants in our essential oils to preserve them, they can still lose their effectiveness or scent over time. That is why we maintain a “Use By” date that is three to six months from the date of opening the products. We want your first bathing or shower rituals to be just as enjoyable as the last.

 

How should I store my products?

Products should be store in a cool dark place to preserve the essential oils. Take care to make sure the storage location is dry and not humid, which causes clumping. DO NOT get water inside bathing products.

 

Do you test on animals, or do your suppliers test on animals?

No. None of our testing is done on animals. We are Cruelty Free! In addition, we make sure that suppliers do not test on animals.

 

Are the containers recyclable and is the product packaging recyclable?

Yes, about 90% is. Our glass containers are made of recycled glass and they are recyclable. Our Eco-Luxe packaging is made to be composted. Boxes, bags, tissue paper, paper filling, tape, tags, and labels are made from post-recycled materials and is recyclable. Popcorn/peanut cushioning fillers are biodegradable. We are working on finding a suitable substitute for our caps that are plastic or metal.

 

For a luxury line why don’t you put products in fancy boxes?

While luxurious by quality of ingredients, we are also minimalists for ecological reasons. We do not want to add to the carbon footprint of waste any more than we have to. We would rather put costs into making quality, luxurious products rather than waste it on boxes that you’ll throw away shortly after purchasing.

 

Why seven colors and scent notes?

Each color and scent note corresponds with a specific aromatherapy intention--a desired outcome in which the user seeks. In addition, the color and scent line are also chakra aligned for the desired effects.

 

Can I buy products from retail stores?

Currently products are only available online at our website, www.livepassionary.com and at limited events, pop ups, conferences, and meetings in your area. Information will be posted on our website, social media sites, and through our email postings. We encourage you to join our mailing list for up to date news about our company happenings.

 

Who do I contact about concerns, suggestions, or topics of interests?

Do you accept orders from countries outside of the United States?

At the moment we currently do not. However, some people may use forwarding companies.
